How to Get OMRI Listed

To get a product OMRI listed, the manufacturer must go through a detailed review process. Here are the key steps:

1. The manufacturer orders an application kit from OMRI, which includes resources and policy manuals.
2. The manufacturer submits the application which provides detailed information about the product, including ingredients, manufacturing process, and efficacy data.
3. OMRI reviews the submitted information to ensure the product complies with organic standards set by the USDA National Organic Program (NOP) or the Canada Organic Regime (COR).
4. If the product meets the standards, it is approved and added to the OMRI Products List.

Once listed, the product can be used in certified organic production, handling, and processing.
